For Brandi DeAnda, VP, Employee Benefit Services Producer at TPB Insurance, service is rooted in relationships. As a dedicated insurance professional for over 17 years, Brandi’s goal has always been to work in partnership with her clients to deliver customized solutions that best suit their unique needs and situations. She shares her career background, how she applies her expertise to serve business owners in her new role, and her hobbies outside of work.
What is your experience and career background?
I began my insurance career in 2006 as a customer service representative. My path has since taken me through various positions, from account manager to sales representative, to Agency Relationship Manager. In my most recent role before joining TPB Insurance, I served the Corpus Christi, Laredo, El Paso and Rio Grande Valley areas.
What is your specialty professionally, and how do you serve your clients through your position at TPB Insurance?
I specialize in all things employee benefits, from medical insurance down to pet insurance for our customers. I am proud to say that I have worked on the carrier side as well as the general agent side. My background helps me understand clients' wants and needs when it comes to their broker. I’m excited to join TPB Insurance, because the team is growth-focused.
What are your activities and hobbies outside of work?
I love being outdoors, from camping in our RV to gardening at the house. I’m a mom to an 8-year-old and a 9-month-old, so they keep me busy between softball, volleyball, and the little one crawling and trying to walk. There is never a dull moment. Spring and summer are my favorite in San Antonio, when the city is vibrant with color. During the summer months, I love swimming and being at the coast.
Which community organizations are you involved with?
I’m a member of the San Antonio Association of Health Underwriters and the National Association of Health Underwriters.
What inspires you about working in insurance?
I enjoy helping businesses and individuals find a plan that meets their needs by working together to understand insurance and all of the benefits their plans have to offer. I love building relationships with business owners and learning their wants and needs, and making sure they understand why we are here and how we can help.
